Mission, Vision & Commitment

Our Mission

The Northwest Indiana Structured Living Initiative is dedicated to providing safe, stable, and supportive housing opportunities for veterans, seniors, former foster youth, individuals returning from incarceration, and adults experiencing housing instability. Through housing, resource navigation, life skills development, and community partnerships, we empower individuals to achieve self-sufficiency, restore hope, and build a foundation for long-term success.

Our Vision

To create thriving communities where every individual has access to safe housing, supportive resources, and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing compassionate, professional, and person-centered services that promote dignity, self-sufficiency, and community integration.

Founder Voice

Why we built NWISLI

“Northwest Indiana has too many people falling through the gaps between shelters, hospitals, prisons, and the housing market. NWISLI exists to close that gap with structured living, dignity, and a real plan. We are building this organization the right way, one resident, one partnership, and one home at a time.”

Founder & Executive Director

Resident and partner testimonials will be published with consent as the program grows.

Every individual deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity — regardless of their circumstances.

Community Integration

We believe stable housing strengthens neighborhoods and creates healthier, more connected communities.

Person-Centered Services

Our approach is tailored to the unique needs, goals, and circumstances of each individual we serve.
